Corbin is a national board certified and registered occupational therapist with advanced training in Ayres Sensory Integration intervention and assessment. She has an innate abilitiy to connect with children and has been working with children with disabilities since 2009. She received her Master’s in Occupational Therapy from the Medical University of South Carolina and has since worked in an array of pediatric treatment settings including clinic-based, school-based, in-home, and telehealth. Her clients know her as nurturing, high-spirited, friendly, energetic, and patient.
Corbin believes in a relationship-based approach as she provides education and training to parents, caregivers, and teachers for each individual child's needs. She passionatly supports the development of her client’s social emotional skills, including self-esteem, play skills, and social skills with specialty training in Social Thinking® and DIR/Floortime. Additionally, she enjoys providing feeding therapy for children with oral motor delays or just “picky eaters,” with advanced training in the Sequential Oral Sensory (SOS) Approach to Feeding.
Additional training includes: Therapeutic Listening, Astronaut Training, Bal-A-Vis-X, Handwriting Without Tears, Visual-Vestibular Integration, Reflex Integration, and Constraint Induced Movement Therapy (CIMT).
